  • Green Logistics
  • Eco-friendly Design
  • Green Production Processes
  • Eco-friendly Procurement
  • Our Initiatives: We are exploring the circular economy in office furniture, promoting resource conservation and the sustainable use of materials throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Our Progress: In partnership with JOS Singapore, Sunon Technology established JOS Sunon Home and launched our first office furniture recycling project — the furniture recycling for Great Eastern Life Insurance Group, enabling the reuse of office furniture.
  • Our Initiatives: We use recyclable cardboard for product packaging, replace traditional tape with hot melt adhesive, significantly reduce the use of Expanded Polyethylene, and incorporate a thoughtfully designed, easily disassembled product structure.
  • These efforts help reduce carbon emissions in packaging and transportation, while minimizing the impact of plastic waste on soil, water, and ecosystems.
  • Our Initiatives: In line with the “3R” principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), we prioritize sustainable practices throughout product design, from responsible material sourcing to modular design frameworks.
  • Our Progress: Through the use of ocean-recycled plastics in the design of our H5 chair, we prevent approximately 6.7 tons of plastic from entering ecosystems annually (based on an estimated 2,000 H5 chairs produced each year), reducing carbon emissions by 76%.
  • Our Initiatives: We employ eco-friendly methods such as bio-based coatings, water-based UV coatings, honeycomb panel lamination, and low-VOC (volatile organic compound) adhesives to minimize reliance on non-renewable resources.
  • Our Initiatives: We implement centralized procurement, prioritizing the use of standardized and eco-friendly materials. By utilizing efficient procurement platforms, we improve procurement efficiency and reduce transportation costs.

Airy Health Chair H5——Use of Recycled Ocean Plastics

In advancing sustainable development and environmental protection, Sunon Technology actively explores and applies ocean-recycled plastics to achieve the goals of carbon reduction. Innovatively, we use recycled materials such as fishing nets, ropes, and airbags to create the main components of our H5 chair frame. This approach prevents nearly 6.7 tons of plastic from entering the ecosystem each year (based on 2,000 H5 chairs annually), reducing carbon emissions by 76%. Additionally, the H5 chair weighs 12kg and features a design where the backrest can be folded by removing four screws, reducing packaging volume by 58% and facilitating easier transportation, thereby effectively cutting carbon emissions in the logistics process.

Green Production Processes

We actively implement environmentally friendly processes, such as using bio-based coatings, water-based UV coatings, honeycomb panel lamination, and low-VOC adhesives. These sustainable practices help reduce our reliance on non-renewable resources, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and mitigate the impact of climate change, contributing to our commitment to green and sustainable development.

Bio-Based Coatings

Sunon Technology uses bio-based coatings in place of petroleum-based products, derived from sources like corn, seeds, and agricultural by-products, which reduces reliance on non-renewable fossil resources. In collaboration with Eco-Technology partner Covestro, we employ bio-based waterborne UV technology, tested successfully on Sunon’s state-of-the-art UV coating line at the Qiantang Manufacturing Base in Hangzhou. With approximately 35% bio-based content in the coating resin, this process effectively lowers carbon emissions throughout the lifecycle—from production to use and disposal.

We have established a Talent Development Center, featuring a 6,000 square meter training facility. This center includes an EMBA training classroom modeled after prestigious business schools like Harvard and CEIBS, capable of accommodating 1,000 people for training, dining, and lodging. Our goal is to combine practical training with theoretical education to cultivate more outstanding talent.
